EHR/EMR integration
EHR-Integrated Medical Billing
We work inside the EHR or practice management system you already use. Part of the job is reviewing how its billing side is set up, so charges, claims and payments can flow without extra re-entry.
Billing setup we review
- User access and permissions

The problem
When the system works against billing
Most EHRs can support a clean billing workflow. Problems usually come from how they were set up.
How we handle it
How we work with your system
First we confirm how your system handles charges, claims and payments. Then we document the billing workflow around it and flag any settings that may need attention.
- Access through user accounts your practice controls
- Charge capture and superbill workflow review
- Payer list and payer ID review
- Clearinghouse connection review
- ERA and EFT enrollment status review
- Fee schedule review
- Claim and denial work queues
- Standard report review

FAQ
EHR-Integrated Medical Billing: common questions
Which EMR systems and EHR software do you work with?
Most of our work happens inside the EHR, EMR or practice management software a practice already has, through user accounts the practice controls. Every setup is a little different, so we confirm your specific system and clearinghouse during the review. Tell us what you use when you get in touch.
Do you need a separate billing system?
Usually not. We prefer to work in the system you already use, so your data stays in one place.
Do you sell EMR software?
No. We are a billing company, not a software vendor, so we have no product to push. We work in whatever system you choose.
What should a small practice look for in an EMR?
For billing, check four things: built-in claim scrubbing, electronic remittance (ERA) posting, a clearinghouse connection your payers accept, and reports you can filter by payer and date. Also ask how easily you can export your data if you ever switch. The best EMR for a small practice is usually the one your providers will actually document in every day.
How is access to our system handled?
Access should be through individual user accounts created and controlled by your practice, with permissions limited to what the billing work requires.
